Scientific Games and Playtech in Distribution Agreement

A mutual global distribution agreement has been signed between Scientific Games and Playtech which will enable both casino software providers to increase their scale and distribution across North and Latin America and Europe.

Scientific Games of course are known for creating some of the most popular land based slot games to include the likes of Zeus, Raging Rhino and Bruce Lee, which have all proven to be a hit in the online environment. Whilst Playtech who were established back in 1999 are widely regarded as one of the pioneer casino software companies when it comes to producing online casino game content.

As a result of the agreement, Playtech’s software will be available to operators via Scientific Games Open Gaming System (OGS). This includes all of Playtech’s online casino game offerings, from their online slots portfolio to their Live Casino games.

Speaking about the agreement between both heavyweight  casino software developers, Playtech’s Chief Operating Officer Shimon Akad said: “This is an exciting deal featuring two of the industry’s biggest names that is set to have a major impact on iGaming across the globe.”

“A key pillar of our strategy is to increase the distribution of our software through mutually beneficial partnerships with the leading B2B suppliers in the leading markets, alongside increasing the depth of the content and services we offer to our existing customers.”

“This partnership will significantly increase SG’s distribution to regulated markets in LATAM and Europe whilst also providing our customers in those markets with an even richer portfolio of exciting iGaming content. Playtech looks forward to benefiting from SG’s leadership in the U.S. as we look to roll out Playtech casino software in all regulated states.”
