Best and Worst of Online Gambling - Meister Awards for 2014 - I need your input!

Yep, once again a year has flown past (man, it went quick) and the Casinomeister Awards are being compiled and kicked around. This is your chance to suggest new and interesting categories, awards, recipients, or any other input for that matter.

For the newbies, The Casinomeister Awards are dished out right after the Xmas break - usually during the third week of January (this year the last week of Jan.). It's a super-duper special annual event that's been done since 2001.

For quite a number of people, these are the only awards that matter...

I could use input on best/worst categories. Stupid casino tricks - worst named, and/or anything else you can think of.

With your input - I will be putting together a short list for the Best Casino. The short list will be voted on (in a secret vote) by the Casinomeister Advisory Group. The awards will be announced during the last week of January - the winner (Best Casino) will be announced at the iGaming Awards in London on Sunday February 1st.

No criticism here (since it's based on your experience), but I think that nominating accredited casinos might be seen as quite strange. Most of the nominated casinos are usually rogue outfits and casinos you don't see near the accredited list since they aren't being close to meet those standards Bryan has set up for accreditation.

Best Casino - Split between 32 red and Roxy Palace for me. As I'm still fundamentally a Viper software user I have to vote with my feet. Guts and BetAt are obviously the standout multiplatform casinos.

Biggest Disappointment - Ladbrokes and William Hill (two absolute giants in the UK betting world) not being accredited and seemingly not being bothered enough to change that.

Best Casino manager - Mark. His efficiency and effectiveness in responding to issues is always noteworthy, while also immersing himself in the culture of the forum. Good egg.

Sitting on the hands award - This just HAS to be Playtech. All year there has been essentially a neon sign on the front page of the biggest casino forum connecting 40 Playtech casinos to a rogue announcement, and they have done nothing at all??! It is terrible publicity for them and I believe that the issue is a lingering poison to their brand, but still no action? Two of the casinos involved (Supercasino and jackpot247) are among the highest profile in the UK as they are on television every night, yet their terms remain predatory as ever.

Most annoying forum member - I know that Johnny is already clearing space in his trophy cabinet for this one, but my vote goes to Lucky Dahlia. Simply because the way she violated the culture of the forum for brute leverage during her grievance set a precedent that others followed. She set the tone for probably one of the nastiest periods of member abuse of the forum I've personally seen on here.

I think deciding on the best categories will be much harder than the worst - there are so many top-notch operators out there now that it seems almost unfair that we have to declare any single one of them as the "best".

The Best/Worst awards should be split into categories for US Facing since it is impossible for US to play at most of the casinos being nominated in this thread. Although our choices are severely limited, we should nonetheless have a fair chance to provide input.

Best Casino award IS split since a couple of years back. Thats why 3Dice/Club USA as an example have won Best US facing award earlier.

Best casino global; GUTS. Although I can't play it I see how they do business and Ben is and always has been top notch.

Best US facing; 3Dice IMO can't be beat for CS, hassle free, fast payouts and unique software and transparency.

Best reps; The Bet-At team was outstanding this year and have shown real class by dealing with some difficult situations and continuing a strong presence here. Dieter from Refilliates deserves honorable mention, he is also a class act IMO.

Most annoying member; I would have to go with Mr. Proven System. Although he was rather innocuous his persistence was admirable.

There should be some mention of New Jersey in there somewhere for making it through their first year with full casino gaming with no major hitches.

Not for any particular positive feedback, nor toward any particular casino...but a nod to those who've tirelessly helped throughout 2014, helping new and old members in our little world by answering questions on promotions or site navigation, how to reach out to reps through the i-gaming rep tab, flagging us to posts, explaining elements of and announcing new games across the board, and all the little and many things they do which in turn take some of our load off and generally help everyone.

To follow up on my previous post here are the votes from the Dutch enclave in the Republic of Ireland.
Solely my own opinion based on my own experiences.


Best Casino in 2014 - Unibet it is for me this year as they have a massive selection of games,quick and friendly CS and fast pay outs.
Last year I chose Guts but they only fall slightly behind this year as I do miss WMS games,many casino's started to implement them and if Guts is doing the same they are probably back to the number one spot in 2015.

Best Casino Rep on this Forum in 2014 - Just like last year for me this has to be Ben from Guts, an absolute gentleman and knows how to take care of loyal customers with fast and helpful replies to any queries a player might have.

Best slot released in 2014 - No doubt for me,Montezuma from WMS and Raging Rhino also from WMS would be a good second choice.
I absolutely love WMS games and they gave me this year the best casino experience with their fun and innovative slots.

Best slot software of 2014 - WMS by a mile.

Most valuable member on the forum in 2014 - As I purely look at contributions and helpful posts I would like to nominate Dunover, great guy, great posts and I always love to read his contributions to any topic.

Most innovative bonusses and CM forum exclusive games - Only one winner here for me,Betat without a doubt.
The amount of time they spend on making up nice little games for us to participate in on this forum is amazing.

Even when I clicked unsubscribe they kept sending me bloody e-mails from other e-mailaddresses so unsubscribing does not work...It got so bad I closed my account and I don't want to deal with this crowd anymore,never was a big fan of RTG anyway,dull and boring and outdated games with Nintendo 16 bit graphics and all slots sound similar.

The Downfall Trophy 2014 for a reputable casino who could not keep up the high standards from previous year(s) - Unfortunatelly I have to pick Quasargaming,an accredited casino here but this year nothing but negative experiences such as non responding CS on e-mails,a rep that is AWOL from this forum and cherry on the cake blocking me from logging in and play as Quasargaming obviously don't know that the Republic of Ireland is NOT a part of the UK.
Sad to see this outfit drop to a lower level of service.

Worst slot software of 2014: Unfortunatelly I have to nominate Novomatic here,haven't enjoyed playing Novo for a while now.
High variance slots is one thing but Novomatic is last year in the category INSANE.
So dunno if RTP % have been lowered as I know a lot of pro players empy Novomatic casino's by betting max. stake and hitting free games and clean the place out.
So small timers mostly pay the price for that,I feel that way at least.

The Best Casino of 2014 - US Friendly

3dice - I'd name names, but they are all great with what few issues I've experienced. My payouts are usually 4 or 5 days from click to my post office for pickup, which is about the best one can expect in the US without an overseas account. Never any excuses, lateness, or shenanigans.

In my opinion in the Rival gaming Sunset slots is the fastest paying casino, I hit $1600 on a Saturday afternoon couple weeks ago and I had my money in my bank on Monday morning at 8am. Desert nights is also a fast paying Rival casino but no bonuses worth using. Golden Lady casino is best for slots they pay good, I just got a $2300 withdraw from them this week. and as for the worst casino ever!!!! Has to be Crazy Luck. I have $700 sitting in there for over a month now and they wont let me withdraw, even though I have been corresponding with Dave Miller about it they just keep telling me to wait. Golden Cherry banned me from bonuses for winning too much, and their sister casino Slots of Fortune well, I have five pending withdraws of $500 each and they only pay me one every two weeks and put the rest back into my account and I have to withdraw each one again only $500 at a time. So I guess this is my input on the Rival side because that's all I play and I win over a thousand a month depositing only around $300 or so a month. So you will have to take the information from what I just said and use it as you may for what ever info you are needing. But please put the worst casino rating possible on Crazy luck!!!

2014 review

First I want to be clear that my review is strictly from a USA players point of view and I excluded non-accredited Casino's from my choices.

1. Best USA Facing casino - NONE. IMO no one deserves this award this year. They are average to bad at best. No one is stepping up their game.

2. Worst USA Facing Casino - Inetbet. The lack of live CS in 2014 in ridiculous and the constant bad posts flowing in speak for themselves.

3. Best USA Facing Rep - CW Karolina. Always helpful and a pleasure to work with.

4. Best Thread - Marks CM I-Gameing Quiz done by Lotusch. I really enjoyed this. As a relatively new member at the time it got me more involved and interested. I appreciate the effort Mark put into it and it was fun.

5. Worst forum member - Johnnygotthebon. No one else comes close in my mind. I feel bad for the guy, but he just grinds on my last nerve with every post.

6. Best Forum members - Tie - Kasino King & Tirilej. They both bring so much to the forum in their own unique ways.

7. Biggest impact for On-line gaming - tie new UK Legislation & Bitcoin

The Mayor of London was on Letterman last night. He made a statement about the British that surprised me. He believes that most British would like to be Americans. Who'd have thunk?

I only really play 32red (and sister casinos) and partycasino since the UK changes.

best casino: 32red.
best Gaming Experience Award: 32red group.
best casino manager: Pat 32red.
best support manager: Mark 32red.
best group: 32red group simply because of the ability to flush W/D on request.
best new casino: Spin Casino - only played once, made nice profit (£800) no hassle or delays cashing out.
best bonuses: 32red - cant beat the daily generous bonuses
best improvement: Partycasino, much better since the addition of the IGT and WMS games

best new game: T2 (mg) wasn't so keen at first but now cant stop playing this.
Worst game: Winnings of Oz (playtech) pretty graphics and sound, pi$$ poor payouts. (not sure if this is a 2014 game)

My opinion of best casino(s) is biased being I'm from Canada (as such you won't see GUTS or others which are big member favs).

Fav casinos: 32Red, Maple casino (and pretty much any casino from Vegaspartnerlounge).

Least favorite: Wintingo (poor communication), Royal Vegas (I'm still undecided about fortunelounge as a whole), VideoSlots (they accused me backcharging my credit card for $5), RedFlush, some Playtech casino here (can't remember the name, but got FLY in it somewhere), and Lucky247 (rep doesn't reply) and maybe LuckyNugget too (confusing and unfavorable bonus T&Cs).

Best Software: NetEnt
Best new game 2014: Jurrasic Park
Best Rep: Ben (based on his interest and activity alone...only had the pleasure of dealing with him once)
Fall From Grace: Roxy Palace (my first casino ever, and the only one I played at for years. Customer service has disintegrated into a fine dust)
Best CS manager: Jonathan (32 red)
Worst new game: Avalon II
Come-a-long-way: Ruby Fortune Casino.....this group is trying really really hard. I remember Bryan saying he was considering a new BBF for them??

Worst casino: don't have one just yet but there is a casino handling a withdrawal extremely badly that may make the list!
Best Software: WMS by some distance
Favourite game: Raging Rhino, great graphics and game play, it can burn you but on the other side it can make you very happy
Least favourite game: Cosmic Fortune, what the hell is this game! bad pays in base game and shocking bonus game
Best Rep: haven't have any dealing with reps this year, which I think is a good sign! But from last year Paul BGO was excellent.

Yeah, somewhat ironic when he and his cronies have contributed to anti-free speech legislation, allowed E-USSR enforced socialism and forbid us arms to defend ourselves against those whom would harm us. So, yes Americans have freedoms we USED to have and many Brits want back. We won't get them with clowns of his ilk.

Anyway, rant over and back on topic. That's given me an idea for maybe not an award but CM recognition of the politician in whichever nation who has done most to assist in a beneficial way the online gaming industry, each year?
