Hello folks :) Hope your well.

I'm not sure if its just me being silly.. but have they lowered the win plan on this game ever so slightly?
I played today and noticed that the respin feature is yielding a smaller return.

Can anyone confirm this? Or is it just me being daft? lol

It's unheard of for Microgaming to change the reels or paytable after a slot is released - or at least, they never admit it!

I just checked the current pay-table against some old screenshots - and they're identical.
So yeah, sounds like it's just you being silly! :p

With respects, what KK has stated refers to the reels and/or paytable. What you're referring to with GWG2 is a bonus feature that never has had a fixed and/or stated win amount. There are significant differences between what you are both referring & they shouldn't be confused.

...if they can do that whats to say they cant do lots of other things

Theoretically nothing, however the Regulators of the jurisdictions they are licensed in would likely revoke the licenses of any games provider if it was found that this is what they were doing.

only if they were caught . plus no one knows what they can do with any online games period adjust it decrease it , shouldnt realy happen as there no need to do it but.............. you never can be 100% sure , you may state that its only a bonus round, but none the less it shows something behind the scenes can be done or it would not of been touched at all.

You are correct - software can be changed & no doubt there are examples of where this has happened, which is why sites like this are here. (Casinomeister's Philosophy and Mission Statement).

As the introduction on the previous link states, "The bottom line for most people in this industry is to make a profit" so when you are creating games that already have a built-in house edge, there really isn't any need to 'tweak' it post release to improve that edge. (Surely if they wanted any games to be more profitable, they would have designed that game to have a lower RTP in the first place)?

In order for a game to be certified by Regulators, the software developer must confirm details of the game (inc those readily available, and those that aren't. (E.g. paytables, hit-rate, rtp, etc)). The Regulators approved testing house will then cycle the games to ensure that the stated information from the supplier matches the results from their testing. Assuming everything matches, then the game is approved for release, but that's not the end of it... Once a game is live, the Regulators are able to audit the games at their discretion. Most (if not all) of the reputable suppliers also belong to at least one of the industries many bodies that ensure fair-play (

). Operators that make the games available to the players also join these organisations and have monthly audits on the games performance to ensure that the statistics that the game produced in the aforementioned test cycle mirrors what is happening now the games are live, (Old / Expired Link).

After the developers and Operators have gone through the above, (and knowing that their license(s) could be immediately revoked if anything untoward is discovered), do you really believe that they would risk their entire business (which could include sportsbook, poker, and bingo (as well as any other casino(s)) just to try to draw an extra % out of the RTP of a slot game?

Hence my

They 100% definitely changed the Mega Moolah jackpot amount several years ago, but there was never any official statement from MG about it.
(They quietly changed it back a few months later).

They NEVER admit these things and it's virtually impossible for players to prove changes have been made (though with Mega Moolah it was extremely bleedin' obvious!)
And if they never change anything, why do we see old games "updating" from time to time in the download client?

hi yes i do believe that some sites would do this for the extra money ,sadly im not one to get involved with ecorga it was set up via micro gaming it means nothing to me at all it never has & it never will , i do however trust casino meister & players views )

same as licence being revoked it has to pass to many channels for this ever to come to light & that could open a massive can of worms if it ever did get that far , if it ever did get to this then you could say goodbye to all online casinos how many licences have been revoked for rtp% or using dodgy reels , the player would not know the change, although we know lets say RTG can indeed be changed to one of three settings , people think MG casinos dont do this , well im pretty sure if every other software does this they can do aswell.

playtech another one faulty games on here came very close ( not sure wether you had looked into that thread )
& im thinking there has been another couple aswell , didnt get to end result as realy it was side stepped again even with ukgc getting in there it didnt get anywhere just a polite slap ,although there was clearly more to this than stated.

the extra minus rtp% or even 1-2% could make a huge difference to any casino , im not stating any casino do change this for the better or for the worst , but the point is the software can be changed.

I remember that!! Minor reaching £3000 and mini several Hundred. I actually considered this an improvement as the mini is not worth winning at around £15, and the minor rarely gets past £200. If they wont even admit the bleedin obvious, who knows what they might consider.

However, Microgaming have never been caught red handed doing something on the sly like lowering RTP by fiddling with bonus round probability tables and intentionally hiding it.

The problem is that even when there is a bug, they will never admit that it existed, but will quietly correct it (The Dark Knight "emptier" bug straight after launch).

The problem for Microgaming is that they have built a reputation over many years that players can trust that once released, a game is "set in stone", and will not have it's payouts and RTP messed about with by either operators or the supplier, unless there is a technical error within the game.

A change of RTP will also be obvious, and if they have messed around with Hot Ink, this will be proven beyond doubt by finding an RTP of anything other than 97.5% listed for the respins game element on a UK licenced site offering the game, where there is a requirement to make the TRTP information available to players.

Perhaps updating graphics & sound to cater for the enhanced capabilities of the average players PC? (Not saying this is the cause every time, but the file sizes certainly increase. HD screens & dolby sound weren't heard of at time of original game release, but try playing Thunderstruck now on a PC with those capabilities & I'd suggest the game doesn't seem its age).
