When Phil and Mikko first started out and were VERY active in the forum, I saw this as a possibility to become loyal to a new casino, NOT to pester every 5 minutes for a 'comp' etc but more so I'd know my cash was in safe hands and if that day ever came that any problems arose that I was almost guaranteed, as long as I'd not stepped out of line that things would almost certainly be sorted quickly and amicably.

Now Phil has moved on, their forum activity (as previously mentioned and addressed) has dropped to virtually nothing and they've removed their daily deal (which used to be a £20 deposit not £50 to get the offer) I have not deposited for a long time there.

As a low roller as you mention, I HAVE to shop around for that days best offer, I rely on a bonus / FS etc to extend my play time as I can only ever deposit in £20's and we all know if you get a 'bad start' £20 can be gone in minutes.

I still have the best of respects for this casino but whereas a few months ago I personally was willing to give them my vote early for casino of the year at the CM awards, I am not so sure now....

I must respectfully disagree for these reasons:

1). In this case, if the player has received little to no incentive or bonuses for some time then it is not unreasonable to ask the casino to consider offering something once in a while - this is a competitive market and players know that if they've had nothing beyond the play from their deposits then there is a part of the profit margin which is effectively earmarked for promotions that they have not received.

2). If a casino does offer comps then they expect to be asked about them. If they do not and are willing to stand behind their standard offering (for example VS and Slotty) then they have to be confident those offerings are competitive if they wish to retain a viable user base.

3). From a business perspective, it is almost always cheaper to retain an existing customer than to attract a new one. Player goodwill, whilst an intangible asset is still an asset. Repeat business, positive posting on sites such as this and amongst their friends and families is worth its weight in gold.

4). Ultimately, we have different expectations on what we receive for our money, it is not the place of one person to demand others accept the expectations of others.


So if you personally feel asking for comps is "begging" then that is entirely your prerogative. I respect that but disagree with with, I think using such terms is unnecessary and verges on insulting.

Just going to point out - I did not say they were a 'great casino'.

If 32 red gave you 70% of your losses back, they must be insane.. They would go bankrupt if they did that to every player. Anyway, I will leave this one to the other members so I do not up my blood pressure

When will people get it that even if they lost a million gambling it makes no difference and doesn't automatically entitle them to any sort of free bonus.

Go to bookies and spend money on anything and you are not going to be given most of it back. Why should casinos keep giving people that lose free bonuses every time they ask. If they cant afford to lose the money don't gamble it.

And Gemma maybe just maybe if you weren't asking the casino constantly for free chips and pming the reps all the time etc. then they might be more likely to give you a bonus on losing deposits occasionally.

Leave the roguing to Casinomeister - it's tricky business and not for amateurs.

@ Gemma A : in the past month you've posted no less than four threads bashing BetSpins. Please read the Posting Rules, items 1.11 and 1.17. I fully understand how gutting it is to lose a large sum. Been there

I won't get involved in the debate on whether casino should compensate as both sides of argument have valid points.

Its the age old advice of self discipline that works best. I've finally learned to expect anything and everything with slot volatility and play high variance slots with a light touch now.

I try not to chase losses and call it a day when losses get bad. Sure playing on May get me some money back but the same odds will be there tomorrow next week or next month
