Gemma VS Bet Spins

OK, have to give my 2 cents on this one as well.

Every casino has, apart from the usual overheads, 2 main expenditures after which the casino is left with the net yield/player, e.g. IIRC 32RED had last year a 580GBP net yield/active player, up by some 30% from the previous year:

1. Player Acquisition Cost
2. Player Retaining Cost

1. We all know that is the SUB, advertising, etc ,etc.
2. This is generally 25% of all players deposits, a number which established itself over the last 15 years, can fluctuate slightly up or down, but on average the industry is calculating with 25%. No casino can operate profitable if this cost is constantly higher than that. Now each casino has its own ideas how to best retain its players.

- the 25% are match bonuses, free spins, comps, promotions, extra comps, rewards programs, tournaments etc.
- this 25% are already calculated into the cost of running a casino

Hence, any CS agent will look at your deposit/bonus ratio and when it is 25% or over you will be declined any further bonuses. Or they offer you lower bonuses with higher WR.

I never asked for any comps whatsoever in the first 8 years of online gaming, never knew they would give you something extra. But nowadays, I do it frequently if i have long losing periods. It can only work both ways though, they give me a few extra and I will stay on as a loyal player.

Cheers Harry! - You're gonna start me 'tin foiling' again with much more of this :p :p :p

OK -- I have been trying to figure this out on my own before asking but I have not. So what the hell is tin foiling ???? And BTY Harry you must be the most logical, sensible person. I honestly do love all your opinions and your advice. I wish I had your bankroll though. LOL.

Spotted the post Barbara and can help as I'm one of the guilty ones from time to time.

However I think I'll let Dunover answer this one :p

Ps: I'll also try not to take offence, I thought I was the best :p :p :p (forgive me I'm tired, going bed now lol!)

OK I have to say it was a hard decision between you, Dunover and Harry. Can I say that all you guys are amazing!!!! Love your sarcasm Jonmincher-- to Dunover I love your humor -- and to Harry I love your logical and wise advice and how to shut down a forum once it has gone too far.

You guys are the best. I totally get entertained just reading up on this forum. Cheers!

Whoops -- forgot to mention Spintee (terry). You are probably one of the nicest guys on the forum!

Thank you Barbara, blushing now ;) Happy though that i can contribute to this forum; joining it has been one of my best decisions i made last year when relating to online gaming.

From Wikipedia:

A tin foil hat is a hat made from one or more sheets of aluminium foil, or a piece of conventional headgear lined with foil, worn in the belief it shields the brain from threats such as electromagnetic fields, mind control, and mind reading.

Over time the term "tin foil hat" has become associated with paranoia and conspiracy theories.

Keep on blushing then Harry;)

I have to second what she said. There are so many of the older members that have vanished that you are very much needed.
As soon as you were done with the 32Red moan you became who I thought you would be.

Keep that up. You're needed

Well Harry the fan club grows, I will be honest you do come across as a genuine and great guy.

There are actually a handful of members on here (none of which I've met) that I respect more than some of the people I know in 'real life'

Your input and views are very similar to my own so I know you've got your head screwed on :p :p

Not that I'd ever be interested in a 'Free Holiday' to Thailand or owt!

Thank you all for the kind words, i really appreciate it.

Initially registering to moan about the 32RED changes i soon discovered that this forum is a great place with great people where i can be actively involved. :D :p :)

Hi everyone and sorry for my absence. I was in Finland for some time up north and did not see this thread on time. Not that it's the best reason, even in Finnish wilderness there is an internet :)

I'll read the thread properly and reply in more detail in a bit.

Best regards,
mikko

Such bad luck on bet spins deposited over 200 pounds nothing back at all asked in support for some good will spins nothing told sorry .Last week the same thing awful luck deposited this month well over 1000. Not even 50 pounds back on here .Also the reps seems so slow these days to get back to me regarding any problems i have over 2 to 3 weeks :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'm sorry for your streak of bad luck lately Gemma. I have discussed this with Phil as well and as he has a lot of other stuff to do as well in addition to replying PMs he needs to prioritize. As a general rule whenever someone keeps sending us lots of messages we need to take a break from replying to those at some point to have time to serve our other 99.999% of customers. In 99% of the cases we reply the PM during the week within the same day and over the weekend we try to reply too but not necessarily within the same day as we need time off sometimes as well.

Also it's important to understand that we always prioritize most issues to comps as those tend to be much more severe in relation to customer experience.

So in the future please send your PM to me and I'll see what we can do. This obviously goes for anyone.

Okay ill give you that yesterday the rep had not been active for a week and phil hasn't been on for a month. Maybe they are on holiday or having some problems.

But heres the bit where I say what im thinking even tho most probably don't agree. Always been a fault lol where I speak my mind.

Anyway Maybe even if they are active they would be in no hurry to reply to your pms as it looks like you are sending them a hell of a lot. In fact 4 weeks ago you were never depositing at Betspin again as they wouldn't comp you or reply to you as fast as you would like. Saw you were also telling live cha that the reps on casinomeister weren't replying to your pms after they never gave you a bonus.

Sorry but just because you lose a lot doesn't mean you are entitled to any sort of comp. I am guessing from the amount of deposits you must have got free spins etc. from the promotions they run. Maybe if you asked rarely they might offer you a comp but seems like you are constantly pming reps and contacting live chat every time you lose.

Maybe it would be better for you if you did what you were going to do 4 weeks ago and deposit at a different casino that's willing to give you comps every time you lose. Good luck in finding that casino tho.

The reason for the bit of a radio silence is that Phil is unfortunately leaving us in a month's time. It's sad to see him go but he wanted to do something else than casino operations at this point of his life. He's with us for a month still so both Betspin and you guys get to enjoy his presence for a month. There has been a lots he has had to teach a new guy who's stepping in his shoes eventually. My apologies for the absence but I think it's a good time to tell about this now though I admit we should have done it sooner to avoid this kind of situation.

Anyway I'll be here for all of you and will introduce the new guy soon enough.

That's a shame. Phil has been a great contributor and helped me on a number of occasions. Has to be commended for his approach and the fact that you've launched a superb customer focused casino which is a strong contender for casino of the year in its first full year of operation.

Sure he'll see this thread but if not, do wish him well from me.

Thanks citizenx, Phil will be with us a month still luckily and I'm sure he'll comment on this thread as well soon.

Hey Guys,

Sincere apologies for the lack of presence on the forums recently. As Mikko has mentioned I will be moving on to pastures new shortly and will be stepping away from casino operations for a while.
That being said I would like to thank you all for being so welcoming and helpful with all the feedback that has been provided during the past few months, to help improve Betspin and the overall customer experience in general.

I believe Betspin will continue to go from strength to strength and you can rest assured that you will be in safe hand with Mikko and also Magnus. Please continue to give us your honest feedback and I am sure these guys will continue to listen and take your suggestions and recommendations on board. I will still be around until the end of the month so if there is any way I can help you between now and then please don’t hesitate to give me a shout.

All the best!
Thanks,

Phil.

Bet Spins AWFUL Loyalty

Is it me or there no loyalty on bet spins as a player lost this month 1,770 got back after chasing for my losses around £150 in goodwill bonus of course won nothing, No withdraws .I think it would be good for some sort of loyalty points scheme on there as well .There daily offers don't seem to happen on there any more either .There seem to have got rid of the free spins with a deposited daily offers .Makes me very disappointed with this brand at the moment

You are not going to get very nice replies here after the last two threads you made about them :eek2:

Also, £150 goodwill is a heck of a lot more than I have had from any of the sites I have been playing at lately, much much more!

Thats near 10%!!!

If you are not happy with them, try somewhere else, as you keep making threads about not liking them ;)

Beat me to it Casinoman

Gemma, when you first joined CM you were 'making all the right noises' and I feel you were a popular member of the forum.

We ALL hate losing streaks, feeling 'unloved' or not valued and it is MEGA frustrating but from one lovely person to another, stop making these sort of threads, it comes across as all you do is moan and will get the sort of replies from less 'diplomatic' members that make not nice reading.

I know its hard and I feel your pain but I'd really consider taking a decent break from slotting hun.

I tend to agree and would say that to some extent, I share the same frustration, to a lesser degree, as displayed by the OP.

She's clearly had a reasonable amount of goodwill from the casino so i think that does her complaint less justice.

However, I'm a big fan of Betspin but am sad to say that there has been little incentive to deposit there since the abolition of the Daily Deal - beyond that of the loyalty that has been built up in previous months.

I fully understand how difficult it must be to remain attractive to players in such a competitive marketplace whilst still generating a reasonable profit. They still issue the occasional VIP bonus and throw in a few free spins on the launch of a new game but when I come to deposit I always have to consider where I will get something above and beyond my deposit. Bottom line is, if another site which is as trustworthy is offering wager free spins my money is going to go there.

My deposits there of late have not been motivated by this but rather in good faith because I admire and respect the team but after weeks of losses and being denied a comp I was somewhat dissatisfied.

I still play there and will continue to do so but I do hope that some new incentives are around the corner, I can't see how I and others can continue to plug money into a site when playing the same amount elsewhere gets tournament entries, free spins and offers. Given the cost to attract new players, I can't see them working on the basis of attracting new players for a few weeks and then losing them to the competition so maintaining a loyal user base is essential.

That it has now been so long since they've had any (what i would consider) good deals for depositing and having this in mind I can't help but feel concern about their future and viability. That said, I might be wrong and they may be doing better with less deals but it feels counter-intuitive to me.

As for the OP, she really needs to stop posting in such an aggressive manner. It really isn't necessary.
