OK, have to give my 2 cents on this one as well.
Every casino has, apart from the usual overheads, 2 main expenditures after which the casino is left with the net yield/player, e.g. IIRC 32RED had last year a 580GBP net yield/active player, up by some 30% from the previous year:
1. Player Acquisition Cost
2. Player Retaining Cost
1. We all know that is the SUB, advertising, etc ,etc.
2. This is generally 25% of all players deposits, a number which established itself over the last 15 years, can fluctuate slightly up or down, but on average the industry is calculating with 25%. No casino can operate profitable if this cost is constantly higher than that. Now each casino has its own ideas how to best retain its players.
- the 25% are match bonuses, free spins, comps, promotions, extra comps, rewards programs, tournaments etc.
- this 25% are already calculated into the cost of running a casino
Hence, any CS agent will look at your deposit/bonus ratio and when it is 25% or over you will be declined any further bonuses. Or they offer you lower bonuses with higher WR.
I never asked for any comps whatsoever in the first 8 years of online gaming, never knew they would give you something extra. But nowadays, I do it frequently if i have long losing periods. It can only work both ways though, they give me a few extra and I will stay on as a loyal player.
Cheers Harry! - You're gonna start me 'tin foiling' again with much more of this
