Durham builder lands GBP 1.6 million playing Toy Factory slot
Scott Clydesdale (40) from Durham, UK won GBP 1,627,168 million in just 23 minutes after 125 spins of play on the Toy Factory slot at Sky Vegas.
Clydesdale, a builder by trade, was using a GBP 20 Sky Vegas bonus when he struck gold.
He said the windfall would help with his wedding plans for next year and he will take his first holiday ever outside of England, after he has received his first passport.
The 40 year-old’s win means he joins two other North-East Sky Vegas millionaires from this year — a woman from Stockton who won from a 20p spin and David Robinson of Newcastle, who scooped GBP 2.64 million.
With a national average salary in the UK of GBP 26,500 it would take more than 60 years for someone earning this amount to earn the figure Clydesdale landed.
