Online Gambling Operator Extends Racing Sponsorship

Bet365 chief says deal affords online company a high profile in the summer
The UK-based online gambling operator bet365 has extended its sponsorship of two flat races at Britain's Haydock Park course.
The new deals run until the end of 2014, and are for the two feature races during the course's 7 July meeting, the Old Newton Cup and the Lancashire Oaks.
As a result of the new investment prize money for the Old Newton Cup will rise from GBP 60,000 to GBP 100,000.
Bet365 CEO Denise Coates said Thursday that her company has sponsored both races since 2008 as part of a larger package covering the whole card at the meeting.
"Lancashire Oaks and Old Newton Cup day affords us a high profile in the summer," she said.
