African Partnership As Fsb Technology Teams Up With Mkekabet

Platform and managed sports betting service provider makes first move into Africa with SMS betting service Mkekabet

Online sports betting platform provider FSB Technology (UK) Ltd has made its first move into Africa with the launch of a website and SMS betting service for Tanzania's Mkekabet.
The London-based supplier has designed a bespoke site for the popular sports betting operator, which is available in both English and Swahili. The platform has also been integrated into Oxygen8's mobile payment gateway making use of both M-pesa and Tigo mobile banking services.
The deal means that African online punters can now choose from a huge number of markets on sports including football, tennis, basketball, cricket, golf, volleyball, and handball, which FSB is trading both on pre-match and in-play, with plans to introduce a jackpot product based on correct football scores, which will be available in multiple jurisdictions.
FSB Technology spokesman Richard Thorp, said in a statement Friday:
"We were always confident that we could tailor our offering to a wide range of territories, but successfully answering language, local payment provision, and scalability questions has been very rewarding."
Mkekabet managing director, Mark Robertson, said: "We've been very impressed with FSB's ability to customise their platform for our local payment and regulatory requirements," adding that his company's offering now has a distinct advantage over competitors.
The new Mkekabet site, which witnessed large volumes of traffic during Euro 2016, is expected to be particularly popular with Tanzania's football-mad punters when Europe's domestic football leagues begin again next month.
