Rarely is there justification for any sort of military incursions, these things often hinge on the decisions of a few idealists and their skewed worldview, and because they've convinced themselves their actions are justifiable.
But apart from the needless bloodshed and resultant years of suffering this has brought about, is the incessant propaganda pieces flung about by the world's media, it's actually aggravating at this point.
Take for example the 'Ghost of Kyiv', who supposedly shot down about six Russian fighters, but turns out to be taken from a video game?
Or the 13 soldiers stationed on Snake Island, that told a Russian warship to "Go f*** themselves" before dying a 'heroic' death and be given full honours, only to be, as it turned out, not killed, but captured?
Or the bloodied and bandaged woman paraded in front of a crumpled tower block to the world, only to find out that was from years prior?
The Russian soldier writing his mum a poignant farewell note, stating that that they've been ordered to take out schools, hospitals and 'even the civilians'? Badly translated? Who writes like that?
Hard to glean any semblance of what's truly going on, unless one was to actually be there in the thick of it. Our media seems to run with every story for cheap sensationalism, but then that's just what they do, after all....
