i often wonder.....

Excellent advice!

FWIW, many of us will be in London for ICE the last week of January. On Tuesday the 24th (?) there's the "Meister Meeting" where Bryan usually has free drinks and finger-food for all CM members and invitees. I believe it's being held at the same place as last year.

Bryan usually sends out a PM which includes a password which you need to get in, can't recall if that has gone out yet or not. If you're interested I'm sure he'd let you know the details, PM him Link Outdated / Removed.

I swear to God, one of these years I'm gonna make this event. It's that trans Atlantic flight that has my knickers in a twist though. I know I would need some heavy sedation.

And then of course there's the recovery time after the partying ends. Last time I did the GIGSE in Montreal, my liver needed a blood transfusion, and two weeks to detox.

I know how that feels! Here's my prescription for a successful crossing:
  • board the plane and get comfy.
  • as soon as possible order a double JD. Chat, read a book, whatever, and enjoy your bevvy!
  • repeat the above.
  • and again.
  • now zonk out. By the time you wake up you should be halfway there.
  • hit the 'loo, have a bite to eat, order another drink.
  • and another if you need it.
  • zonk out again. When the nice lady gently shakes you awake to tell you they've landed and it's now time to leave the plane, thank her for their excellent service and you're on your way.

Yay! One more beastly trans-Atlantic flight wrestled into submission.

..why in all the forums online, that there is nobody that has worked for online casinos (software, cashier, live chat) that can give real answers on how the online casinos really work. i mean, are they all wearing cement boots or in lying in corn fields all over the world? where do ex-casino workers go? lol, seriously though......

Hello DepositSpinLose,

1. Which answers would you like, I have worked in online gaming for over 10 years? Can you be specific?
2. We wear flipflops not cement boots, normally in hot locations - I currently have my feet up wearing Gucci fake sunglasses watching youtube vids and will pop out for a swim soon.
3. We go to bars, nightclubs, snooker halls, cinemas, theatres, beaches etc
4. Dont expect much on a Monday morning.
5. Friday lunchtimes - we go to bars and dont return.
6. Saturdays / Sundays - all day in the bars watching football.
7. Online gaming is not rigged.
8. We love 99% of our players, just not the French.
9. Dont play us for money at pool - you will lose.
10. Most igaming companies have good, decent people working for them.

Best regards,

Daz

Years ago when Golden Palace was one of the biggest online casinos, I was a heavy hitter VIP there. Most of the communications were done by phone. I use to make sometimes three deposits a day all through western union, so was always calling in and ended up becoming very friendly with a certain woman who was the vip manager.

Eventually, we started talking more on a personal level and exchanged personal e-mail addresses where we carried on frequently. I never told her I was married and always carried on with her only with the hopes of personal gain and information.

She lived in Canada where the office was and personally I think she was trying to play me hoping to hook up simply based on the amount of money I was pissing away. She even sent me a picture of her and invited me several times to her home.

Anyhow, I always was trying to dig up information on the operation, software, etc. She didn’t know anything about how the system worked, and I’m certain if she did she would have told me.

The only real gain I achieved with this was on every Tuesday and Thursday they offered a random one thousand cash prize to anyone that was playing during a certain time. Obviously, the prize had nothing to do with the software randomly choosing the lucky winner and was actually done by who they picked. In the course of a year I won this prize over 15 times, and guess who was on duty during the times I won.

In addition, whenever I had a cash out we had an agreement if she rushed the payment to me, I sent a western union to her personally for amounts between two and five hundred dollars depending on the size of the cash out. This got me my checks usually within a week to ten days at most via snail mail.

Eventually, I’m certain she realized we never were going to hook up and the kick backs probably kept the communications going. Suddenly, she was no longer employed there and even after sending her several e-mails, to this day I never heard from her again. (Maybe she was sent over the falls with cement shoes on…lol)

Really interesting story. The online casino business is very intriguing. It sets anyone who plays online with their own little personal adventures. It's time to make a movie

Clear evidence that it IS rigged - guilty as charged. Pity she didn't know much.

You may have been served well, but what about all the other players who believed they stood a fair chance of winning that prize, and played every Tuesday and Thursday.

I think many of these "random cash prizes/bonuses" work like this, with somebody picking their favourite players and "randomly awarding" the prize to them. This is done outside of the gaming software, so it does not prove that the games can be rigged to favour certain players or times of day.

I suspect her bosses discovered she was too involved with the players, and got rid of her. She was also playing YOU, because as soon as she was gone, you no longer had any kind of relationship. More likely it was her taking bribes from you and rigging some promos in your favour that got her fired, NOT the fact that she "played you" into believing you had connected on a personal level so that you would spend even more at the casino.

Even more dissapointing than the sudden loss of communication might have been the discovery that she was really an old man with a ridiculously high voice.

That’s not true at all. I just started dealing with another VIP manager, and although I never won another 1k on Tuesdays or Thursdays after she disappeared, I continued to receive my monthly cash backs based on my action that ranged anywhere between two and five thousand per month, that were 100% cash-able. I also still received very generous birthday and Christmas cash gifts. I’m not even sure if Golden Palace offered bonuses with play through at that time, since I never was offered one or even knew about them. In fact I didn’t even know bonuses existed till around 2005, after five years of playing online already till visiting a different casino.

I also continued to be offered many additional perks from Golden Palace, including trips to Vegas, and A.C., which included airfare, RFB, and tickets to top of the line fights and shows for two.

Not sure what was going on everywhere else during the early years of my gaming experiences, but during my early days I thought online gaming was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Not until after the UIGEA was passed and Golden Palace stopped taking USA players and I was forced to move on, and after playing another five years at assorted casinos did I come to the conclusions that online gaming became bogus.

Amazing story 4OAK. I think pretty well anything would be bogus after that experience!

I would say online gaming is a poor experience for USA citizens as there is not genuine competition for your custom. Also the companies involved are suffering huge processing costs. But if you came to Europe you would be ble to find a good VIP experience I am sure (the weekly draws excepted!). However you were at your height in the boom times and it's now credit crunch deleveraging, so conditions are quite different I think.
