I am under the impression that casino employees/staff sign a non disclosure agreement upon employment (and applies to after they leave, also) which would greatly restrict what they can and can't say.

And who's to say that once out of the 'game' they have any interest in the online gambling industry anyway.

Yeah mousey is right. Even if you work in a hotel you have to sign such an agreement.
However there's a dutch croupier in the news right now, who wrote a book about his work at the government owned casino, Holland Casino.
He's being sued not to publish to the max extent. All he said in the interview I saw was something about a special room within the casino for high rollers, and he said there is no respect for the people who gamble there. They give them free drinks to get them drunk, and don't care about them losing all the money they have, at all.
So nothing special But it's not an online casino of course..
What's your point of interest btw? The command structure of it all? I don't think there that much else interesting enough going on..

Well the answer to your getting booted and losing is that it is a complete fallacy and has no evidentiary basis whatsoever.....apart from "I lost after I got booted". The fact is that we only remember the times we lose after being booted.....it is very likely that we win (or keep winning) just as many times after being booted but those times don't stick in our memories. It's human nature to only think of the horrible had luck and forget the amazing good luck (just ask takethemoney....sorry couldn't resist...).

In regards to the WR finishing exactly when you hit zero....well firstly unless you're writing down every bet you wouldn't know if you met the WR exactly, and secondly it is unlikely that it would happen often or at all (if we are talking about exactly not almost etc). The other fact is that bonuses are designed to pretty much leave you with nothing most of the time. The casinos are very careful these days to offer bonuses that assure that they win most times.

If someone REALLY believed all these things were REALLY employed by online casinos, one would look pretty foolish to keep playing.....why would you knowingly allow yourself to be cheated?

I always pictured the chat support people like all sitting in booths or something. I mean I think got that impression. Mostly. Or sometimes just 1 booth But those phone people are probably spread over the world where it' the most convenient or the cheapest. As it is with most support. I'm just guessing though

There are certainly things they do not want us to know and I'm certain they are capable of doing more than they tell us, as far as settings, both preferential and prejudiced. If one risks their money to gamble, these things must be taken into account and if one still chooses to proceed, they do so at their own risk. Ever felt a clear and decided take down mode when playing? You think that's just a coincidence? Might be, but my gut tells me that is not always the case. Some gamblers need to be cooled off when they are hot. A nice little boot off the server ought to do. I am on a very reliable cable internet connection. The only times, ever, that I get a "no internet connection" available message is when I have played RTG casinos. So, it seems to me there is something built into the software that can cause your connection to be fouled.

There HAVE been former employees who have come here to "spill the beans". Often, what they claim is so outlandish that it is not believed. There is also a motive involved that has driven them to break the code of silence, and if this is revenge, they could well be making up what they say as a means to get back at their former employer.

The allegations need to be backed up by evidence, and often it is only the word of the former employee that we have.

Most leaks have come from former employees of rogue casinos, so what they say is not representative of much of the industry.


Dogboy works as a game developer for RTG, and posts here. However, what he says has to be approved by RTG first, so he restricts his explanations to the working of the games, and does not discuss how individual operators might run their casinos.

Many casino reps will be a little more open via PM to individual members they feel are not out to get information to help them commit fraud.

There are a few answers that I can think of which apply to your question, all true but different aspects of the full story:

1. casino employees absolutely have to sign NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreements) and most are applicable for 1+ years after they leave their place of employment.
2. there are a lot fewer secrets than you'd think. Most questions that players have have been answered honestly over the years. The fact that few players believe those answers is another matter.
3. many of the "former" employees are still in the business in one way or another. Casino peeps move on to be marketing reps (in the biz), support peeps move on to become webmasters or affiliates or whatever, IT people move ... you get the idea. They're still in the game so blowing whistles -- not that there are many to blow -- isn't in their best interests.

In other words (a) it's complicated and (b) there isn't much that hasn't already been said, one way or another at one time or another.

Could be any of a zillion things, most of them boring as dust and certainly no cause for nervousness. It's pretty much standard practice in most high-tech and financial industries, certainly for anything government or defense related.

I've had to sign NDA's in the past, sometimes for trivial things like not discussing someone's new marketing campaign artwork, sometimes for high-level things like new systems designs or the financing on company buy-outs, etc.

We even offer to sign NDAs sometimes to ease the discussion of a player's PAB. It's seldom actually necessary but we would do it if it was the only way forward on a sensitive case. I haven't actually done this in the time that I've been helping with the PABs -- started in Dec 2007 -- but I know Bryan has had to do it in the past.

In the casino biz the competition is so stiff that anything related to game software -- what's being developed, what new features are coming, the list is endless -- is typically considered a company secret. Ditto with stuff on the transaction processing, the client-server data link, the location and/or access info on company servers, etc etc etc. Like I said, none too exciting really.

Yeah, interesting story. I live in Amsterdam. Holland Casino also has a duty to look after the people, since it is state-owned. I wonder about this man's non-disclosure agreement though. He also told a story on a talk show about someone dying at the tables and no one gave a ***. Staff did not close the table, everyone just continued playing...

1. Which answers would you like, I have worked in online gaming for over 10 years? Can you be specific?
2. We wear flipflops not cement boots, normally in hot locations - I currently have my feet up wearing Gucci fake sunglasses watching youtube vids and will pop out for a swim soon.
3. We go to bars, nightclubs, snooker halls, cinemas, theatres, beaches etc
4. Dont expect much on a Monday morning.
5. Friday lunchtimes - we go to bars and dont return.
6. Saturdays / Sundays - all day in the bars watching football.
7. Online gaming is not rigged.
8. We love 99% of our players, just not the French.
9. Dont play us for money at pool - you will lose.
10. Most igaming companies have good,decent people working for them.

In addition, whenever I had a cash out we had an agreement if she rushed the payment to me, I sent a western union to her personally for amounts between two and five hundred dollars depending on the size of the cash out. This got me my checks usually within a week to ten days at most via snail mail.

Eventually, I’m certain she realized we never were going to hook up and the kick backs probably kept the communications going. Clear evidence that it IS rigged - guilty as charged. Pity she didn't know much.

You may have been served well, but what about all the other players who believed they stood a fair chance of winning that prize, and played every Tuesday and Thursday.

I think many of these "random cash prizes/bonuses" work like this, with somebody picking their favourite players and "randomly awarding" the prize to them. This is done outside of the gaming software, so it does not prove that the games can be rigged to favour certain players or times of day.

I suspect her bosses discovered she was too involved with the players, and got rid of her. She was also playing YOU, because as soon as she was gone, you no longer had any kind of relationship. More likely it was her taking bribes from you and rigging some promos in your favour that got her fired, NOT the fact that she "played you" into believing you had connected on a personal level so that you would spend even more at the casino.

I would say online gaming is a poor experience for USA citizens as there is not genuine competition for your custom. Also the companies involved are suffering huge processing costs. But if you came to Europe you would be ble to find a good VIP experience I am sure (the weekly draws excepted!). However you were at your height in the boom times and it's now credit crunch deleveraging, so conditions are quite different I think.
