As a result of the Sound On or Sound Off? thread that @Mats777 started on Sunday just gone, it got me thinking as to what are some of the worst slot soundtracks to also include atmospheric sound effects, that you cannot stand.

Those slots that make you look for the mute button or worse still for the slot in question, the back button on your web browser.

Personally when I play I have to have the sound on and as I only play at land based casinos nowadays and this is few and far between, I have no option to mute the slot cabinets in a bricks and mortar.

But when I did play online, subconsciously I would say the soundtrack and atmospheric sound effects was a big factor as to if I played for more than five minutes!

For me one such slot that comes to the forefront of my memory, for just being so damn annoying is the WMS ( showing my age! ), I mean the Light and Wonder game Invaders from the Planet Moolah.

Apart from being a ridiculous slot with cows mooing randomly, I just found it very off putting. Hence probably why I never did very well the few times I played it.

Your view?

A game that comes to mind with absolutely horrendous sound effects (art isn't much better), is: "Fishin' Frenzy Megaways" by Blueprint Gaming. I can't stand it. I believe it had a big impact in the UK, and that got me curious to check it out some time ago. It doesn't really have a soundtrack though.

I checked it out. It hurts 😅

I learned yesterday that Beef Lightning soundtrack is like a jingle that plays once for around 10s then goes silent.

It's linked to the spin button so it starts again when you click spin. Even worse and more annoying is that it restarts from the beginning if you click spin before it finishes so playing the slot normally means just hearing the first part cut in over and over for most spins.

So glad I play with the sound off
