news:
Curaçao, December 18, 2018
On December 18, 2018, the Minister of Finance, the Honorable Mr. Kenneth Gijsbertha, officially notified the general public of the government’s
intention to appoint the
Stichting Gaming Control Board as the
unified regulator [there is more than one?] as well as the AML/CFT-supervisor for all of gaming in and from Curaçao.
The decision for this appointment had already been made by the Curaçao government
in December 2013. The required legislative process to follow through on this decision is underway and is expected to be finalized in the coming months.
The Minister of Finance expects that the appointment of the GCB will also be helpful in combating illegality in our gaming sector

It all sounds confusing and what you'd likely expect from a cowboy operation, it seems as though there is more than one regulator, one for the island and one for online licences?
