Bitcoin Penguin Casino Review

By Casinomeister, Last updated Apr 27, 2024

Casinomeister's Verdict

Bitcoin Penguin is one of the many Bitcoin Casinos that’s sweeping the online gambling world right now. While they cite themselves as being a premium crypto casino, the lack of a gambling license means we strongly recommend against playing at this casino.

First Impression

Bitcoin Penguin looks like a complete rush job to us. The website is dated, many sections are filled out incorrectly, and it feels like an incredibly lazy effort at creating an online casino.

Things get even worse when you realize the casino doesn’t hold a valid online gambling license – and, because of this reason, we strongly recommend you don’t play at Bitcoin Penguin.

Pros

  • Nothing

Cons

  • Unlicensed

  • Poor selection of games

  • Generated tons of complaints

  • Unlikely to pay out

Bonuses and Promotions

Like most casinos, Bitcoin Penguin offers a range of promotions and bonuses to new players, and these are designed to entice those who are on the fence about whether to join the site or not. Below, we will look at the main welcome bonus on offer.

Welcome Offer

The main welcome bonus at Bitcoin Penguin is split into two parts: a first deposit bonus and a second deposit bonus. On your first deposit, Bitcoin Penguin gives you a 100% matched deposit bonus up to 0.2 BTC + 30 free spins, and on your second deposit, you get a 75% matched deposit bonus up to 0.2 BTC. On your second deposit, you also get 25 free spins.

Unfortunately, the terms and conditions of the bonuses are pretty strict, and you’ll see – from the terms page – that there are a ton of things to be aware of when playing. Of course, this is exactly what we’d expect from such a rogue casino.

No-Deposit & Free Spins Offers

At the time of writing, Bitcoin Penguin doesn’t offer no-deposit bonuses or no-deposit free spins.

VIP and Loyalty Programs

Surprisingly, Bitcoin Penguin doesn’t offer any VIP program, which is strange, as virtually all crypto casinos have this in place for their players.

In terms of promotions, there are just a couple. For example, on Fridays, Bitcoin Penguin runs a promotion called Free Spins Friday, where players can win up to 25 free spins. On Monday, they run a cashback promo where they ‘guarantee’ 20% cashback on the biggest deposit you play of the day. To our surprise, you have to manually contact the casino’s customer support team to claim it.

BANKING AND PAYMENT METHODS

Currently, Bitcoin Penguin only accepts Bitcoin; they’ve yet to add any additional cryptocurrencies to their platform, although we’ll likely see this in the future.

Deposits are made by sending Bitcoin to the wallet generated in your account’s cashier section; the casino doesn’t provide any information about minimum deposits or how long they take to credit your account.

Withdrawal Speed

Similar to the above, we weren’t able to find any information on Bitcoin Penguin’s website about withdrawal time frames. However, as the site is not licensed, it’s likely this Bitcoin casino will not honour withdrawals – and a quick look around the web shows that many players have indeed had issues when playing at Bitcoin Penguin.

Responsible Gaming

Bitcoin Penguin Casino doesn’t appear to care about responsible gambling. Though they claim to offer time-out and self-exclusion functions, you have to contact the customer support team to set them up, and they have no problems taking money from players who admit they have gambling issues.

Customer Support

You can reach the customer care team at Bitcoin Penguin Casino in various ways. We received an email reply in less than 24 hours, which is quite quick.

On the other hand, the live chat option is our personal favourite. This is how we got the most prompt replies during our review, and we recommend it as your first option if you have any issues. Our questions were swiftly handled via live chat, and the customer service agent was kind and helpful.

As is the case with any online casino, to use the live chat facility, you just need to enter a few personal details. You will be connected with Bitcoin Penguin Casino’s customer support team, who are happy to help with everything from questions about the casino games, deposit bonus offers or poker games on offer, along with information about any free spins offers, welcome bonus terms, or account-related problems.

KYC

As an unlicensed casino, Bitcoin Penguin Casino essentially has free reign to operate how they want. This means they will likely request a KYC check when you make a withdrawal – but not before.

They’re unlikely to process your documents quickly (if at all), and you should think carefully before sending any sensitive information to them.

Website Experience and Features

Desktop and Mobile Gaming

In today’s fast-paced and cutting-edge online gambling industry, the majority of online casinos are working harder than ever to make sure that their website is as user-friendly and easy to use as possible. In fact, while writing this casino review, we spent quite a lot of time looking at how the website was built and how easy it is to use.

We are pleased to say that the casino site is fast, easy to navigate, and easy to use. It takes just a minute or two to create a new account, ensuring you can register and play your favourite games almost immediately.

There’s also a fully functional mobile casino, which you can access easily and quickly directly through your mobile device’s Internet browser. You can either log in to an existing account or create a new account. You’ll find that all of the functions available on the desktop website are found in the mobile casino too.

However, pretty colours and a functional site do not mean you should play at Bitcoin Penguin Casino. In this review, Bitcoin Penguin Casino failed to show us any online gambling license – so they’re taking bets illegally – and you should avoid them at all costs.

Brand games

Providers

While writing this review, Bitcoin Penguin showed us they only offer games from a few game developers – all of whom are essentially regarded as ‘shady’ in some form or another. They offer slot games, casino table games, and live dealer games from software providers including Amatic, Belatra, Betsoft, Ezugi, GameArt, Habanero, and Mr. Slotty.

Slots

Bitcoin Penguin claims to offer more than 200 slot games – but we’re not entirely sure why they choose to brag about this; it’s a tiny amount of games, and virtually all of the video slots they do offer are poorly-made clones of more successful games.

Live Casino

Like any Bitcoin casino, Bitcoin Penguin Casino wants to offer players more than just slot games, which is why they have opened a live dealer casino. This is powered by Ezugi, one of the smaller software providers, and offers a small selection of live dealer games like American Roulette, Blackjack, European Roulette, Blackjack Pro, Andar Bahar, and 32Cards OTT AB.

Their live dealer casino just looks shady – and it’s yet another indication of why Bitcoin Penguin Casino should be avoided at all costs.

Table Games and Video Poker

You’ll find a pretty underwhelming selection of casino games and casino table games at Bitcoin Penguin Casino. They offer just the basics: Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, and a few poker games. Their video poker offering is equally as underwhelming, with just a few titles like All American Poker, Jacks or Better, and Caribbean Poker.

Their casino games selection is substantially smaller than most sites – and who knows whether their games are even fair; they don’t hold a valid online gambling license, so they’re operating under their own set of rules.

Progressive Jackpots

At the time of writing, Bitcoin Penguin Casino doesn’t offer any progressive jackpot games – likely because no serious software provider will even consider hosting their games on the casino’s website.

About the Team and History

Little information is publicly available about Bitcoin Penguin Casino, but we do know they were established in 2015 and the SoftSwiss platform powers them.

Unlike reputable online casinos, Bitcoin Penguin Casino does not operate with a valid online gambling license. While writing this Bitcoin Penguin Casino review, we found many other casino reviews saying the same thing – and it appears as though the site is operating without a license. Avoid Bitcoin Penguin Casino at all costs; it is as rogue as they come.

Complaints and Track Record

Bitcoin Penguin Casino is one of the smaller crypto online casino sites, and, as such, they don’t have as big of a reputation online as some of the Bitcoin sites we’ve reviewed. In fact, while writing this Bitcoin Penguin Casino review, we only came across one comment in the forum from an affiliate. Here’s what he had to say about the online casino:

“So while I’ve had luck with this place in the past. It would seem as if the affiliate e-mail has gone completely unchecked. They approved pay outs for commissions on Monday. Then as of exactly today, they have yet to even bother sending out the payments. The payment has sat pending for 5 days. I’ve e-mailed them twice and got literally 0 responses. Does anyone know of another way to maybe contact them?

Well took 10 days to payout, which I figured would have been faster. Yet I at least got some resolution, never did get a response to my email though.”

From what we’ve seen, Bitcoin Penguin Casino appears to have generated a large number of complaints online, and there are better online casinos out there. Please don’t take this Bitcoin Penguin Casino review as a recommendation to play there. Always do your own research and due diligence.

Updated: it’s come to our attention that Bitcoin Penguin Casino is operating without a valid online gambling license. The best-case scenario is that they simply choose not to display it on their website. For legal purposes, however, they appear to be operating without a valid online gambling license – so our advice is clear. Avoid Bitcoin Penguin Casino at all costs.
