Daily fantasy sports market leader plans new service in time for the eSports League of Legends World Championship

Daily fantasy sports market leader DraftKings has disclosed that it plans to expand into the burgeoning eSports sector by offering its members action in the League of Legends World Championship, which kicks off in October.
The company also revealed that it has negotiated deals with six eSport teams for in-event promotion initiatives, and plans to be active in the eSports advertising field.
Latest Superdata research statistics indicate that the eSports market is mainly active in the Asia-Pacific region (around sixty percent) and is currently generating annual revenues of around $600 million, with considerable potential.
DraftKings chief revenue officer Matt Kalish told the publication Re/code this week:
"We certainly have global ambitions here and want to be operating in as many countries as possible and as quickly as possible. The long game here is really tied in more with our international strategy."
