Ladbrokes Sallies Into German Football Sponsorship Sector

First agreement signed with SV Werder Bremen
British bookmaker Ladbrokes has entered into an advertising and sponsorship agreement with German club SV Werder Bremen, with the first signage going up over the weekend at the football team's home ground.
The deal, set to run until the end of the current Bundesliga season, marks Ladbrokes' first foray into the German sports market, according to Sponsors.de.
SV Werder Bremen was previously sponsored by Tipico, whose three-year deal expired earlier this year.
Unfortunately for the club it was not an auspicious beginning – SV Werder Bremen were defeated 3 -1 by Hamburger SV.
The financial terms of the sponsorship contract were not disclosed.
