Yuri Martens takes home $169,652 after besting a field of 426

This year's Latin American Poker Tour Grand Final, held in Sao Paulo Brazil, attracted a field of 426 punters prepared to lay down $2,572 each to compete in the eighth annual edition of the event.
In a close-run heads up Brazilian Yuri Martens faced Afonso Henrique, with the two professionals pausing to negotiate a chop before continuing play.
Henrique could not hold Martens' aggression, skill and run of good cards, and the Brazilian ultimately eliminated his last opponent to claim the $169,652 winner's spoils, leaving Henrique with a consolatory $138,806.
Other final table pay-outs included:
Andres Herrera $85,548
Ricardo Chauriye $67,948
Alexandre Rivero $53,284
Carlos Alves $41,740
Bruno Kawauti $31,382
Gustavo De Faria Lopes $22,290
