Holmberg appointed CEO at World Entertainment Limited
Michael Holmberg, formerly the Malta-based general manager for the Rational Group's Pokerstars and Full Tilt operations, has been appointed CEO of Worldclass Entertainment Limited, which owns the Bethard (previously branded Cardbet), Norge Vegas, Sverige Kronan and Suomi Vegas online gambling sites.
Educated between 1993 and 2000 at the universities of Oxford, Vienna Heidelberg and Uppsala, Holmberg holds a Masters degree in law, and completed the Stockholm School of Economics course in executive marketing in 2007.
He worked with Ericsson Austria AG and private banking firm Skandiabanken before joining Expekt.com as a casino and poker manager, a post he held for almost six years before leaving to join the Pokerstars group in 2005 in various executive positions in the Nordic & Baltic region, where he spent 7 years, rising to become Rational Group's Pokerstars and Full Tilt operations chief on Malta, a post he has held for the past four years.
