On freeplays gambling tax
UK Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne, in delivering his budget report 2016 before the House of Commons Wednesday, identified imbalances in the Remote Gaming Duty versus the General Betting Duty tax systems in terms of freeplays.
The budget report points at the remote gambling sector enjoying a more generous tax treatment on discounted or freeplays than operators who offer free bets on football or horse racing, an imbalance that will be corrected by a Remote Gaming Duty amendment.
