Ecogra One Of Three Testing Agencies To Secure Romanian Licensing

Independent third party testing and monitoring firm awarded Class II licenses by the regulator for certification and auditing activities
The Romanian regulator Oficiul Național pentru Jocuri de Noroc (ONJN) has awarded Class II licences allowing the independent international compliance specialist eCOGRA to audit and test online gambling operators and software providers seeking Romanian licensing.
The award positions eCOGRA among the first testing agencies to have satisfied the tough requirements of the regulator in terms of capacity, experience, financial standing and management.
Andrew Beveridge, CEO of eCOGRA, says that the company is committed to supporting its clients in each of the jurisdictions where they choose to offer their products, and there has been strong interest in the Romanian market and its regulatory compliance requirements from operators and software providers.
"Although the effort to fulfil the ONJN's requirements for Certifier and Auditor approval was significant, we were comfortably able to achieve this based on our independence, financial standing and the depth and experience of our professional staff and resources," he said.
