Vera & John Online Casino To Exit Aussie Market?

Online casino operator tells affiliates it will no longer accept Australian sign-ups from August 1st

Vera & John, an online casino operator in the Dumarca subsidiary of the Intertain Group set affiliate marketers speculating this week with an email advising them that effective August 1st it will no longer accept Australian online punter sign-ups.
No reason was given for the move, triggering speculation that it may in some way be connected with Intertain's recently announced intention to list in London as well as Toronto.
The online gambling sector in Australia is currently bracing itself for tightened regulation following the release earlier this year of the O'Farrell report, the completion of the recent general election, and increasingly intense media and political scrutiny, particularly around tax and advertising.
