Mybet Shuts Down Online Poker Operations

By Casinomeister, Last updated Jul 1, 2016

Vertical lacks financial viability

The CEO of German online gambling operator MyBet Holding, Zeno Osskó, announced in a statement this week that the company has decided to shutter its poker operation with effect from June 30, citing a lack of contribution to the company's operating numbers.
Earlier this year MyBet announced that it was reviewing its poker vertical following a disappointing financial performance the previous year, when the vertical contributed a mere Euro 1 million to overall revenues of Euro 63 million.
Osskó observed that his company sees only limited potential for growth in online poker, and that with a new operating platform imminent it had been decided to close the operation.
MyBets' new online sports betting and casino platform is due for launch around early August, having been delayed by several months.
