Mise-o-jeu top operated under the Espacejeux banner

The growing popularity of eSports has clearly caught the eye of Quebec province-owned gambling monopoly Loto Quebec, which announced Friday that it is offering a new vertical branded Mise-o-jeu under its online betting brand Espacejeux.com.
The service kicks off with thirteen markets based on the StarCraft II World Championship series Summer Circuit which starts this weekend in Montreal with the Dreamhack Open, which is sponsored by Loto Quebec Indie Zone.
The Montreal competition should draw thousands of eSports fans, according to Loto Quebec exec Louis Beaudet, who said his company was intent of providing safe and secure betting opportunities in the rapidly growing eSports space, and indicated that markets would also be available in the Dota tournament.
Beaudet said that Loto Quebec would be following the eSports phenomenon closely in the future as it expanded its activities into the sector.
Quebec is not the first Canadian province to become interested in eSports; British Columbia's Playnow online gambling asset is already active in the sector offering markets in a number of tournaments and competitions.
