Arjel's Future Hanging In The Balance?

As amendment seeks to consolidate independent authorities

According to French publication Les Echo, the future of French regulatory body L'Autorité de régulation des jeux en ligne (ARJEL) hangs in the balance as French parliamentarians debate the potential consolidation and possible dissolution of independent administrative authorities and independent public authorities.
The amendment to draft law was authored by Jean Luc Warsmann, deputy and a member of the Law Commission which operates within the National Assembly.
It is understood that the issue will be put to the vote within the next week. Should the amendment be adopted, ARJEL would be merged with "other entities" by 2020, unless its powers were transferred to another administration, Les Echo reports.
