GSN Games launches cash tournaments for mobile devices

Massachusetts multimedia entertainment company, GSN Games announced the beta launch of its mobile-optimised cash tournament project for US skill game players Friday.

The GSN Cash Games tournament initiative features a mobile website for what the company claims is the first-ever mobile cash tournament site for U.S. players.

The new site will complement the company’s popular traditional tournament website, World Winner.com, and allow casual gamers on the move to play skill games on tablets and smartphones for real cash prizes.

The mobile site launches with cash games in Solitaire Rush, which has historically ranked as a top-performing title on World Winner.com.

GSN Games, partnered by Open Web technology company Bocoup of Boston, built the mobile Open Web site using HTML5, offering cash tournaments to iOS and Android users via a mobile Web browser.

Jeremy Stein, senior product manager, mobile of GSN Games said Friday:

"The GSN Cash Games mobile site will bring our most popular titles and the excitement of competing for cash prizes to players, wherever they are."

Boaz Sender, managing director of Bocoup said:

"Together with GSN Games, we are creating new industry standards and breaking down barriers for future HTML5 development through Open Web technologies."

Players can enter cash tournaments or hone their skills in free, practice tournaments by logging on to World Winner.com from the Safari or Chrome browsers on their mobile device.

The GSN Cash Games mobile site allows players to choose a tournament type based on the number of players, entry fee or cash prize amount.

From the account screen, players can make a deposit or withdraw cash winnings to a linked bank account. A user’s account profile, balance and preferences are seamlessly connected across desktop and mobile Web experiences.

GSN is a multimedia entertainment company that offers original and classic game programs and entertainment via its 80-million subscriber television network and online game sites.
