Closure Of Dotcom Poker Network Confirmed (update)

By Casinomeister, Last updated Jan 10, 2014

Rumours circulating since early December have now been confirmed by GTech

Rumours in early December 2013 that GTech was about to shut down its dotcom International Poker Network in order to focus on nationally regulated jurisdictions (see previous InfoPowa reports) have been confirmed this week by GTech.

The effective date of the shuttering will likely be sometime in the Northern hemisphere summer this year, perhaps as early as the second quarter, according to one source.

Brands such as Redbet, Poker Heaven, Virgin Games Poker and PokerKings are likely to be affected by the changes, which will not significantly impact Spielo GTech’s established nationally regulated networks like the Canadian Poker Network, Poker Club Italia, Spain Poker Network and Sweden’s Svenska Spel.
