The Finnish Slot Machine Association Rahaautomaattiyhdistys (RAY) said positive revenue development has continued in 2013 despite an economic downturn.

Key performance highlights included:

– Revenue amounting to Euro 791.4 million, up 2.1 percent compared to 2012.

– Profits totaled Euro 419.5 million, an increase of Euro 11.5 million or 2.8 percent compared to 2012.

– Annual digital revenue grew Euro 10.6 million or 21.5 percent to exceed Euro 60 million

"We are pleased with our performance in 2013, which was also RAY's 75th anniversary year. The economic downturn took its toll on Finland over the entire year, so we are grateful that people still continued to play our games," commented Managing Director Velipekka Nummikoski.

Euro 308 million will be distributed to 797 non-profit organisations as funding, RAY said, and another Euro 113.7 million to the rehabilitation of Finnish war veterans. A total of Euro 421.7 million of RAY's revenues will be utilised in 2014.
