Pokerstars Debuts Phased Tournaments

By Casinomeister, Last updated May 9, 2014

Phase 1 plays Monday to Saturday and culminates in Phase 2 on Sunday's

PokerStars has introduced Phased Tournaments to its lobby, a concept usually reserved for live events.

Phased tournaments allow online player's to play a Phase 1 on one day, and move through to Phase 2 with the stack they held in Phase 1, if they last a certain number of levels.

Phase 1 tourneys will be run three times a day from Monday to Saturday and Phase 2 will run once a day on a Sunday.

If a player makes it to Phase 2, their stack from Phase 1 stands and they cannot go back and play another Phase 1 in the hope of improving their chip position.

PokerStars expects to introduce more innovations to its Phased Tournaments in the coming months.
