Thursday night kick-off for Simplestream-powered screening of first and second League matches

Football fans on Skybet in the UK will see the company's first live streamed football matches Thursday evening when the Simplestream-powered service kicks off by delivering League 1 and 2 matches to their screens.

Multi-platform live streaming and catch-up TV service provider Simplestream has been chosen to support the streaming of all of the Sky Bet Championship, League 1 and League 2 Play-Off matches as the English 2013/14 football season draws to a close.

Beginning with the Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Derby County, the service will be subjected to a month-long trial with UK fans, who will be able to watch live the drama from all 15 matches on the Sky Sports television and digital platforms.

Conor Grant, product director at Sky Bet, described streaming all 15 games to Sky Bet customers as "a really exciting initiative".
