Industry journalist Steve Ruddock, writing for the online poker information site Online Poker Report this week, takes readers on an interesting trip behind the scenes of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement Technical Services Bureau via an interview with bureau technical chief Eric Weiss.

Ruddock observes that the process through which regulated online poker and casino software is tested in New Jersey is technical, complex and largely removed from public view, and encompasses not only initial applications, but reviews of every update and change by operators and software providers.
