Police allege that accused sold his betting software to several bookies

Police in Pune, India have arrested a 33-year-old man for developing and selling gambling software to bookmakers for use in online gambling.

The Indian Times reports that Ekanksh Rajendrakumar Jain has been released on bail by Magistrate S.S. Patel pending his trial.

The police were tipped off by a member of the public regarding Jain's illegal activities, and mounted a raid on his residence in which they seized cash, 27 cell phones, 12 sim cards, a laptop, a hard-disk and a currency counting machine.
