Consumers are now able to buy Ukash vouchers from stationary stores across the UK

Internet payment voucher provider Ukash, which is about to be acquired by Skrill (see previous InfoPowa report) has announced a new deal which will see its vouchers available for sale in the 470 stores of stationary retailer W.H. Smith.

Ukash cites the advantages of the agreement as buyer convenience and wider brand awareness for its products.

"WHSmith is a leading UK brand, with an extensive network of stores, making it the ideal partner for Ukash, as we continue to help more consumers use cash to pay online," James Allum, chief commercial officer at Ukash said Tuesday.

"WHSmith is a name that consumers trust and by bringing Ukash into its stores we are raising awareness of our brand and increasing consumer choice for shopping and paying online."

Ukash enables consumers to use cash to pay safely and conveniently online by exchanging notes and coins for a voucher. Ukash vouchers can be used to pay for online shopping, get prepaid cards, buy gift cards, play online games such as poker and bingo or even to pay for Skype credit.
