Amateur poker player takes $1 million prize and first PCA title

Azerbaijan live tourney newcomer Ilkin Garibli, who was cajoled into entering the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Festival's High Roller event by a group of friends, walked away with the enviable prize of $1,105,040, a SLYDE Steel and Rose Gold watch worth Euro 12,890 and his first PCA title this week.

Garibli favours cash games but went into the two-hour heads up battle against American Joe Kuether displaying none of his live tourney inexperience.

The pair agreed a two-way split Garibli $1 105 540 and Kuether $1 050 000 leaving the title and the SLYDE watch to play for.
