Belgian Gaming Commission Clamp Down On Live Dealer Games

By Casinomeister, Last updated Jan 16, 2015

To prevent exploitation from abroad

The Belgian Gaming Commission has issued an information note clarifying that live dealer gaming operated from abroad is prohibited.

All operators offering live gaming in the Belgian market are instructed to report such to the Belgian Gaming Commission by Friday, January 16, 2015 after which the commission will appraise and inform who may continue to do so during its committee meeting scheduled for some time in February.

Other points highlighted in the note include the continued compilation of operators deemed to be operating illegally in the country, completion of which is deadlined on February 4, 2015. The commission will initiate legal sanctions after this date on those considered to be operating illegally in the market.

Licenced operators introducing new online gambling games into the market are urged to clear games with the Commission if any doubt exists on whether they are permissible.
