Bull Poker Not Such A Good Idea

Player injured in an unusually risky game of poker

A risk-taking poker player illustrated once again the dangers of playing Bull, or Cowboy, Poker when he was taken to hospital with serious leg and hip injuries on New Year's Eve.

This dangerous form of poker involves players seated at a poker table in the middle of a bull fighting ring, and the person who stays at the table longest as a wild bull runs around the table gets to win.

Austin Bottcher was not a winner in any sense on New Year's Eve; he was badly barged by the bull when another player tried to grab a Joker card from its horns, and ended up undergoing surgery for serious leg and hip injuries.
