Zinno bests a field of 419

Rhode Island poker pro Anthony Zinno (33) is Cdn$ 399,579 richer after taking down the Cdn$5,000 buy-in World Poker Tour Fallsview Poker Classic this week.

The NLHE competition attracted a field of 419 players, with Zinno commencing final table action with a significant chip lead which he never really relinquished, obliterating his opponents in just 70 hands before facing Mark Bailey in the heads up.

Despite his 2 to 1 chip disadvantage, Bailey put up a valiant fight, taking the heads up out to 75 hands and at one point capturing an impressive lead before the champion staged a comeback and he was eliminated, taking home the runner up prize of Cdn$ 266,394.

Other final tablers were: Corey Hochman, David Cloutier, Jeremy Halaska, Erik Cajelais, Emanuele Carpignano, Henry Tran and Lu Zhang.
