World Series Of Poker To Go It Alone On Reportage

By Casinomeister, Last updated Feb 6, 2015

Arrangement with Poker News parent IBus Media terminated

The quality live and media reportage provided by Poker News on the World Series of Poker tournament will not be present this year following an apparent difference of opinion between Poker News parent IBus Media and WSOP management.

Following a tweet by Matthew Parvis, head of content at IBus Media, advising that Poker News would not be providing the official live coverage on this year's tournament, WSOP communications chief Seth Palansky confirmed to poker information site F5Poker that the two companies had parted ways.

Pressed by F5 for reasons, Palansky revealed that a disagreement over how much IBus Media should be paid was the cause for the split, and that WSOP will be providing its own reportage, relying on its experience on covering WSOP Circuit events.

Poker News will continue to independently publish WSOP reports on its website, and Parvis has urged readers to let the company know what sort of features would interest them.
