Ilyukhin Snr in heads up with 21-year-old student
Russian Victor Ilyukhin (63) has taken the first title of season 9 of the Grosvenor Casinos' UK Poker Tournament 2015 (GUKPT).
Ilyukhn bested a field of 289 and ultimately Alex Spencer in heads-up play, a student who has already accumulated GBP 200 000 in tournament winnings at the tender age of 21.
The GBP1,090 buy-in Main Event generated a prizepool of GBP 289,000, exceeding the GBP 200,000 guarantee.
