Outdated message board gets a facelift
The forum at the veteran Gone Gambling information website, acquired last year by Casinomeister owner Bryan Bailey, has undergone a complete revamp and is now powered by v.Bulletin.
Debbee Silverman, general manager at the 14,000 member online gambling information site, said Wednesday: "It's always tough to change a site as iconic and beloved as GoneGambling, however, when change is done for the right reasons and in the best way possible, great things follow!
"In this case, GoneGambling, founded in 1998, had been hanging on to a somewhat archaic and cumbersome proprietary forum. As time rolled on, it became clear that keeping the forum as-is was impacting the site in a negative way. It was negatively affecting traffic, SEO and was dragging the site down. A change had to be made and it had to be huge.
"We're proud to announce that GoneGambling has ditched the old forum, in favor of vBulletin forum software. This will allow our members to be far more interactive than ever before. In just a few short days, we're already seeing increased traffic, interaction and an existing membership that has renewed excitement for the site…and this is only the beginning."
