Illinois Attempt To Make Online Lottery Action Permanent

By Casinomeister, Last updated Mar 6, 2015

48 month trial evolves into three years of successful online ticket sales

The state of Illinois' trial of online lottery ticket sales has proved such a success after 36 months that Rep. Ed Sullivan wants to see it permanently featured, and has submitted bill HB 3870 to achieve just that.
The measure is a little early in terms of the 48 month window which the state Legislature mandated as a trial period, but with the Restoration of the American Wire Act on the table in Congress, state politicians will likely be supportive in order to protect the state's position should Congress be foolhardy enough to approve RAWA, which seeks to ban online lottery action across the nation.
