Deal with bit8 will boost Intralot's digital gaming and sports betting services

Lottery and gambling systems provider Intralot has acquired a 35 percent stake in digital gambling platform provider bit8 for an undisclosed consideration.
Intralot said in a statement Thursday that the agreement will boost its digital sportsbetting and gaming services, and revealed that the company has further secured a first option to increase its stake by up to 60 percent within the next two years.
Intralot said that it would integrate bit8 systems into its e-gaming vertical inventories, introducing enhanced services in customer relationships, account management and data processing.
Angelo Dali, chief executive of bit8, said that the agreement with Intralot extends his company's market reach and enables further development of a range of digital solutions.
