Poker entertainment company has fingers in many pies

World Poker Fund Holdings, Inc. (WPFH), a poker orientated entertainment company and co-owner of the World Poker Channel, has detailed its latest poker projects which span the TV, internet and land-based channels. They include sponsorship tournaments, reality TV shows and an interest in Native American Indian online gaming.
WPFH is majority owned by Lookhu, Inc. with other beneficial owners of the company listed as American boxer Floyd Mayweather and American entertainer's Kyle Massey, Justin Bieber, Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, Jason Paul Douglas Boyd (holding 10.02 percent), and De Andre Cortez Way aka Soulja Boy (5.02 percent).
The roles of director, chief executive officer and board chairman are all filled by one Brice Miller.
WPFH has promised the launch of online sponsorship tournaments, a series of non-cash multi-table tournaments designed to discover poker players and "develop careers for the next generation of poker all-stars."
Finalists will reportedly have the opportunity to earn a spot in "a large tournament as a WPFH sponsored player" and the annual top-ranked members from the gaming community will be awarded with a three-year player's contract.
WPFH has licensed several reality TV Series, a statement said, and co-owns the World Poker Channel with LookHu.com, a new streaming media platform.
Reality TV series titles include Poker Boss, Urban Poker and America Loves Poker, production of which will take place at the TCL Chinese Theatre, the Lure Hollywood Nightclub, and the Supper Club Los Angeles.
Poker Boss, apparently already in pre-production, is a mafia-inspired reality show combining celebrities, poker pros and every day players from the street, producers Sam Riddle and Rob Huxley revealed.
Another major area of focus for WPFH is establishing relationships with Native American Indian Tribes for the development of online poker and gaming platforms "within the sovereign rights under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA)", ground already well trodden.
To that end, WPFH have booked their seat at the table, saying it "will be developing an internet poker platform in California, as soon as it [poker] is legalised".
WPFH's latest SEC filing reveals an interesting company history dating back to 2007 : https://www.otciq.com/otciq/ajax/showFinancialReportById.pdf?id=139384
