On request of Swedish Gambling Authority

According to various media reports, the Swedish iOS App Store has temporarily removed a series of gambling apps at the request of Swedish gambling authority Lotteriinspektionen.
Lotteriinspektionen is believed to have requested Apple remove the gambling apps of at least 12 gaming firms earlier this year saying they "violated Apple's terms of use as those companies are not licensed to offer gambling services in Sweden".
Some 40 apps have been affected SVD.se reports with big names including Bet365 and Unibet.
"Just because you cannot download an app doesn't mean you cannot play," Peter Alling, director of community relations at Unibet told SVD emphasising that the withdrawal only affects new customers and does not affect gaming companies' other channels.
