PAGCOR chief says appeals and re-licensing are not on the cards

Andrea Domingo, the head of PAGCOR, has dashed hopes by embattled Philweb management that there may be a chance for the company to appeal its licence denial or re-licence.
In media interviews Tuesday the PAGCOR chief said that whilst her board would discuss any appeals, the wishes of national president Rodrigo Duterte were very clear…"he does not want online gaming or hybrid games like this to proliferate in the country because it caters mostly to the indigent or needy people. Its audience are likely to be lower CDE (economic classes)," she pointed out.
Domingo then said:
"I think what we're going to do is probably just natural attrition… we're not renewing contracts or licenses anymore."
