Microgaming's Inter-galactic Hero Is Back!

Max Damage online slot due this month

Online slot fans can look forward to the return of Microgaming's popular cartoon-style character Max Damage on November 5 when the Isle of Man online gambling software provider launches its second game themed on the intergalactic hero's exploits.

Max Damage first entered the online gaming space in September 2012 with Max Damage and the Alien Attack, the industry's first arcade-style game. With nine levels and six lives, this game sends players on a mission to defend Earth from alien invasion.

Two years on, Microgaming has taken this popular theme and now well-known character to create its latest online slot, a feature-rich, 5×3 reel, 243 ways-to-win game featuring alien-like symbols, vibrant and glowing animations and a retro soundtrack, all of which pays homage to the 80s arcade-style theme.

The Max Damage logo is the Wild in the new game, and can be stacked three symbols high to create generous rewards. Three or more Alien scatter icons will trigger a free spins feature that awards 15 free spins with a 2x multiplier. If an alien spaceship appears on the reels during the Free Spin cycle, Max Damage enters to blast the intruders away, helping the player to accrue more random rewards.

Mike Hebden, head of casino games at Microgaming, says: "When we released Max Damage and the Alien Attack in 2012 it presented something completely new to the industry. The game was an instant success and has remained popular with players ever since. The natural next step for us was to take this in-house brand and enhance it – not only by branching out with a new online slot but improving the existing game, to ensure its longevity."
