Malaysian Police Break Up Online Gambling Ring

17 arrested and computers seized

The relentless Malaysian police pursuit of illegal online gambling continued this week with a late afternoon raid in the Sarawak province which saw 17 people arrested and 10 computer sets and other evidence seized.
"We raided a venue at Piasau Industrial Estate and rounded up four women and 17 men," Miri police chief ACP Gan Tian Kee reported, adding that those arrested would be detained at the Miri police facility whilst investigations were concluded.
