iSoftBet snapped up by IGT

The Malta based casino game studio iSoftBet, who as well as developing their own casino games in-house, also provide a game aggregation platform for operators which currently contains over 8,000 games, have been acquired by the US giants IGT for a cash consideration €160m.
The acquisition of iSoftBet sees the IGT PlayDigital content library grow to approximately 225 proprietary games and also provides the company with a proprietary game aggregation platform to distribute third-party games, and leading data-driven promotional and user-engagement tools.
The deal was agreed upon back in April, when IGT’s Chief Executive Officer Vince Sadusky said of the then proposed acquisition: “The acquisition of iSoftBet will provide market-tested proprietary digital content, advanced game aggregation capabilities, scalable promotional tools, analytics and strong creative talent to IGT’s PlayDigital operations.”
It seems that mergers and acquisitions are still very much a thing in the world of iGaming, with this latest acquisition of a smaller competitor following the recent takeover of Nolimit City by Evolution which we reported just a couple of weeks ago, here on Casinomeister. Evolution of course took over the Swedish NetEnt for a massive €2bn back in 2020.
