Hero Gaming and GVC Sign up to Swedish Gaming Association

Hero Gaming and GVC Holdings are the latest operators to sign up to the Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling,  also known as BOS ( Branschföreningen för Onlinespel ). BOS was setup to represent the interests of gaming companies and game developers that operate in the Swedish market place.

With Hero and GVC joining BOS, the association now has 21 members, many of them regarded as major players in the iGaming industry.  BOS boasts the likes of Paddy Power Betfair, Mr Green and Kindred as Board Members, whilst William Hill and bet365 are listed as Associated Members.

Speaking about Hero Gaming and GVC joining their ranks, Gustaf Hoffstedt the Secretary General of BOS said: “BOS’s ambition is to gather the best online gaming companies on the Swedish gaming market; Hero Gaming and GVC had no difficulty claiming their place among these operators. Through the diverse range of companies we represent – we have over 20 online gaming companies in the association – and the experience of our members, we want to take the lead to ensure the Swedish licensing system will be a success.”

As stated by the BOS website, the key issues that the trade association is interested in, include regulation, taxation and responsible gambling.
