GVC Holdings to rebrand as Entain plc

FTSE 100 listed gambling company GVC Holdings plc who own and operate some of the largest gambling brands in the UK, have today announced plans to rename the company to Entain plc. With the reasoning behind doing so, so as to reflect the Group’s ambition to be the world-leader in sports betting and gaming entertainment.

Forming part of their “A clear strategy for sustainability, growth and innovation” regulatory news release issued this morning, GVC Holdings, who number the likes of Ladbrokes among their brands, also outlined the Group’s plans for growth for the next couple of years.

Chief Executive Officer Shay Segev commenting, said: “Today marks an exciting new chapter for the Group, and an important step forward in achieving our ambition of being the world leader in sports betting and gaming.”

“Under our new corporate identity, we will continue to use our unique technology platform to build on the exceptionally strong momentum that we have in our existing markets, grow into new markets, reach new audiences, enhance the customer experience, and provide industry-leading levels of player protection.”

The renaming and rebranding of the group is subject to shareholder approval.
