Clarion Gaming who are synonymous with putting on events and shows pertaining to the gambling industry, to include the likes of ICE London which is held annually and the London Affiliate Conference, have announced this morning changes to the structure of their senior management team.

The restructure sees Alex Pratt being appointed to the position of Group Managing Director. Meanwhile Kate Chambers who announced last October she was to vacate the role of Managing Director to provide  work for the group on a consultancy basis, has now departed, with Chambers moving onto pastures new.

Pratt  joined Clarion Gaming in 2016 after it acquired iGaming Business now known as iGB, where he was instrumental in establishing events for the iGaming affiliate sector. Other changes see  Stuart Hunter being appointed as Managing Director of Clarion Gaming, with Pratt commenting on his appointment, stating: “I’m delighted to confirm Stuart Hunter’s appointment as Managing Director for Clarion Gaming.”

“Stuart has enjoyed a long and successful career joining Clarion in 2006 and working across the portfolio of events including retail, travel and leisure prior to joining the Gaming team as Managing Director (Events).”

On Chambers departing Clarion, Pratt added: “As a business we recognise the really significant contribution Kate has made to the Clarion Gaming portfolio and in particular to the development of ICE London into the world’s most influential business-to-business gaming expo.”

“She will be missed and we wish her the very best in the next chapter of her career.”

Hunter commenting on his new position position and the current outlook for the events sector due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, said: “The overarching objective is to help the global gaming industry rise to the challenges presented by the ‘new normal’ and to exit the pandemic in the best possible shape.”

“It goes without saying that these are extremely difficult and challenging times for many people employed in the international gaming industry. The Clarion Gaming brands, comprising both live and digital services, have been able to grow and be successful due to the tremendous on-going support shown by our international customers working across all verticals.”

“As a division, we stand should-to-shoulder with the industry and recognise the extreme difficulties certain sectors have and continue to experience.”

“It’s my pledge to ensure the global gaming industry is supported, engaged and consulted in relation to the future direction and opportunities created by the team at Clarion Gaming and I am always available to discuss any issues impacting our customers that we can help with.”
